Northern Wisconsin has a very rich history of snowmobiling and is supported very heavily throughout this community. It all started back in 1927 when Carl Eliason built and patented his prototype snowmobile in Sayner WI. This history has evolved over time into the Snowmobile World Championship in Eagle River. The Snowmobile Racing and Snowmobile World Fall of Fame are both located within 30 minutes of the Minocqua. The snowmobiling is so good in Northern Wisconsin that both Yamaha and Mercury invested in engineering development centers located just outside of Minocqua. It is safe to say the Northern Wisconsin area supports snowmobiling. Local clubs passionately donate their time and efforts to groom and maintain the best trail network in the world. Local business cater to the snowmobile community. 

I can honestly say, because I have snowmobiled all over the world in places like Japan, Russia, Sweden, Finland, all over Canada, Michigan to Minnesota, Montana to Colorado, that the snowmobile trail system in Northern Wisconsin is the best in the world and an experience like none other!

We are excited to announce this will be our first year renting snowmobiles after a lot of positive feedback from the summer season. Fear not as the owner of Minocqua Power Sport Rental (Jim) has worked in the snowmobile industry for the last 25 years. Most 

recently as a Division Manager at the Yamaha Research & Development Center in Minocqua WI. Unfortunately, Yamaha decided to pull the plug on building snowmobiles starting the shutdown process in 2021. Since then, I have been an engineering consultant working with all snowmobile manufacturers. I have a US testing-certified laboratory to support the safety and certification testing from indivual components to full vehicle testing. I volunteer on the snowmobile safety and certification committee(SSCC). It is safe to say I am still very passionate about snowmobiles.

Now with this relationship with the manufacturers, I could choose any snowmobile brand to put into my fleet. Yamaha builds some fantastic snowmobiles with an emphasis on performance, comfort, and control. I have some of every manufacturer in my personal fleet. I studied all brands of snowmobiles to offer in the rental fleet. Ski-doo makes a very nice product and there is a reason they are number #1 in the market. They truly have a product for everyone. Arctic Cat is coming on strong again too and was very close to moving in this direction. When looking at what a customer needs for a great experience on the trails it is all about Comfort, Confidence, and Control.

We are excited to offer the Polaris Adventure 650cc the vehicle to satisfy these core needs of our customers. These are not Polaris's words these are my words!

• Comfort starts with the seating position with the Matrix Chassis and the central location creating a very balanced feel. This is not a normal rental sled as it has a Fox Qs3 suspension package. I have a great deal of experience with these shocks as they were initially developed for use on Yamaha and Arctic Cat snowmobiles and my good friend Rick Strobel is 2nd to none in making a suspension feel like riding on pillows. Tall windscreens and heated handgrips keep you nice and toasty when winter takes its grip. You simply cannot beat the comfort of this vehicle.

• Confidence in traction in a wide range of trail conditions with the Ice Ripper track. Icy patches are no problem in corners or on lakes with these studded tracks. Polaris skis are very predictable and low darting to keep you on your side of the trail. Then you add a huge GPS display to help guide your adventure and how to get back. All these models have rearview mirrors so you know who is behind you without having to turn around. This confidence in your surroundings makes for a very enjoyable day on the trails.
